The group gained prominence primarily as a result of BBC Radio, initially through BBC Introducing Lancashire before receiving BBC Radio 1 airtime from a range of DJs including Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac. Bondax's sound has often been described as genre-transcending; Moses Wiener of Dazed details the band's sound as "the aural equivalent of sipping an ice-cold Pimms on the balcony of your council estate flat."

With a professional musical career stretching nearly 2 decades, J has gained serious attention recently for his original productions and inspired DJ sets, and was called “an innovator of the scene” by Defected Records boss Simon Dunmore.
It’s a title he has rightly earned, with releases and remixes on Z Records, Soundway Records, Heistand Razor-N-Tape among many others, plus massive new singles and remixes on Glitterbox, Heist Recordings, Favorite Records and more

This remix of Energy is packed with top shelf production. This is a real reimagining of the original and one which is bound to have feet moving everywhere it’s played. With a slow start and heavy focus on the vocals, the track builds and builds into a feel-good disco classic. The low end is intensified, the sax added and the tone on the bass is exceptional. This is one for repeating, over and over again; it’s everything you love about disco. A range of instruments, a wicked groove and the catchiest hook around make this track a real standout from Bondax and JKriv.
